Celebrating Birthdays in Naples
Code:
The Birthday Stroll begins with a toast in one of the favorite wine bars among wine lovers. Surrounded by walls with shelves full of wine bottles coming from all over Italy, The FoodAmbassador – a local guide – welcomes you with a glass of sparkling Falanghina wine. Falanghina wine is known in Italy as a still white wine. Only within tihs region the sparkling variety exists, dividing the opinions of wine connoisseurs. Match this unique wine, the Neapolitan tarallo with ‘nzogna, black pepper and chopped almonds – aan ancient food once sold exclusively on the streets. The culinary journey goes on towards via dei Tribunali until you reach a small shop, once reference point for milk distribution and today a cheese shop. Here you can taste the buffalo DOP mozzarella paired with a still wine. In a lively and colorful place near the Greek walls of Piazza Bellini, you can sample some of the most innovative flavors of the Neapolitan cuisine. The stroll ends in one of the most popular pastry shop of Naples in the Spaccanapoli area. Here you will have a final toast and can taste a slice of the personalized birthday cake.

Domenico was a super guide, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. We stopped at 6 different places, and combined had more than a complete dinner with 5 different wines. Plus the stops were all in an historic, interesting part of Naples. We would strongly recommend this tour.

This is definitely a must do in Naples. Our guide, Domenico, was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the Historic District. The wine, street food, restaurant, and sidewalk dining was great and gave us a good overview of the historic district. I loved the grilled octopus and I would not have tried that on my own. Domenico was attentive to our group and noticed towards the end of the tour that we needed a taxi for the grandmoms. He called us a taxi and helped me give our address to the taxi driver. Thanks Domenico for a great food tour and for taking care of us!
