Montepulicano vertical tasting
Code:
Montepulicano d’Abruzzo is globally appreciated for its soft flavor and strong color. It comes from the east coast of Italy, specifically Abruzzo region, where Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine has gained the DOC and DOCG labels.

We will take you through a vertical tastings of five different Montepulciano, in order to find out the best vintage of this wine.

The basic premise of each tasting is isolating one variable so that you can get a sense for what makes one wine different from the others, even though they have the same name and label.

This vertical wine tasting allows you to find out the best vintage of Montepulciano. Wine producer, land and grape varietal are the same. What makes wine taste different each year is the climate. A sommelier will present each wine and guide you through a sensory analysis of the wines you will taste.

Wine tasting is paired with sampling of local olive oils, cheeses, cold cuts and local vegetables.

Due to the special situation concerning Covid-19 we were the only participants in the food tour, which helped to make the tour feel more personalised and was in a way a pleasant surprise. The wines were the best that i have ever had up to this moment in Italy and the tour started on time without any complications. Highly recommended!
