The Food Tour starts with a walk through the city’s heart – the Centro Storico – to explore some of the best food venues of the city. Your Food Ambassador, a licensed tour guide, tells the stories behind the most representative dishes of Naples.
The Progressive dinner begins with a toast of Falanghina sparkling wine, a local product unkown beyond the area but to wine-experts for the many prizes it has won. Walking through the meandering streets of Naples and its artisans shops, you can taste the true mozzarella, and have a try at the best Street Food such as pizza fritta or frittatina di maccheroni.
The tour goes on through a sample of pasta made with unique local ingredients in explosive combinations of flavors, in one of the most renowned and expensive restaurants of the city. Of course, we couldn’t do without a mouthwatering bruschetta with Colatura di alici – a special dressing with origins dating back to Roman times – and more local wine matching the dishes’ flavors.
The tour continues on to the restaurant of one of the most famous Chef in town, where traditional and innovative recipes are created only with the freshest ingredients and combined with regional wines.
Our tour could not finish without having you sample some of the most famous/classic/popular Neapolitan pastries, made by one of the oldest and tastiest patisserie in town!
