I had the food tour at the beginning of my trip with my friends. Our food ambassador was amazing, he was very knowledgable and he tells us a lot of stories about Italian culinary traditions! Highly recommend!

We highly recommend this tour! We were taken to places that definitely felt "off the beaten path"...hidden gems where we were treated as VIPs and never would have stumbled upon them on our own. We enjoyed delicious food and wine. Wonderful experience from start to finish.

Very plesant and entertaining tour. Guide Fabricio knows how to make this tour interesting. Learn a lot about Italian cuisine and traditions. Visit meat and cheese shops on real Milan market. Highly recommended.

This was one of my best days in Rome! It was such a pleasure learning about traditional Roman foods/drinks all while enjoying it at some of the best cafes and bistros. Valerio did an amazing job discussing all the details, and everything was perfectly choreographed with no waiting at any of the stops. This was my third trip to Rome and next time I will definitely do this tour again!

I was a bit skeptical when a booked this walking tour but I have to admit that i would reccomend it to any passionate food lover! If I was doing it by myself i would never tasted so many nice things simply because i didn`t know them. I have also learned a lot, our guid was very good and genuine. Probably his english was not fantastic but he made the point and the atmosphere he created was just fun! Simply... I have loved it!!!

The Walking Palate was a wonderful tour and I highly recommend it!!! On this tour, we were able to sample Italy at its finest! The tour began with appetizers and of course fantastic wine and continued on to several main courses and ending with gelato! Not only did we get to experience sensational food, but we also got to meet some wonderful people and experience their life style!

Great experience. The tour exposed us to different foods. Lots of food! We enjoyed the neighborhood and went back for dinner at one of the restaurants later in the week.

Off the beaten track to get authentic tastes of florence. Matteo the guide kept conversation flowing and was an excellent guide, balancing the food and history and showing us the real florence. We left absolutely stuffed - DONT EAT BEFORE!

Domenico was a super guide, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. We stopped at 6 different places, and combined had more than a complete dinner with 5 different wines. Plus the stops were all in an historic, interesting part of Naples. We would strongly recommend this tour.

Daniella was outstanding!! It was like hanging out with an extremely knowledgeable friend. She is a sommelier and it is obvious. We saw the sights, tasted some tasty bites and overall, got to see a whole lot more of Milan than we would have on our own.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our evening with Georgia. We sampled a good range of food, wine and types of restaurants. Georgia was very knowledgeable about food and wine, plus was able to give insights to the Italian way of life

Food and culture are very much intermingled, this tour provided a wonderful experience exposing you to some great foods in an area that was not full of tourist which gave you a much more authentic experience. You also walk off some of the calories so come prepared and wear comfortable walking shoes.

This company is wonderful- a MUST for all foodies- ask for Linda G. for your guide- she is so knowledgeable about everything food, and Rome and its neighborhoods as well! Our custom food tour (Walking Palates included EVERYTHING we asked for) took us to Trastevere to meet Piero the King of Porchetta, then to Testaccio for amazing food stops with craft beer and wine tastings, and lastly to an epic bakery with a Linda arranged amazing birthday cake for my wife! Four hours of great food, local learning, and laughs! Linda even stayed in touch afterwards and via emails directed us to the best in restaurants on the Amalfi Coast, Florence, and more great food shops and restaurants in Rome- she truly is amazing, and Walking Palates was a pleasure to work with in setting it all up

Lucia was great- After meeting we set out to several restaurants in several locations for different courses at each. Started with an appetizer and a glass of wine and some wine education. As we navigated through Florence she told us the history and other interesting tidbits about art, sculpture, and Florentine local life. Arrive hungry and you won’t be disappointed.

Oh my god!!! Martina was the absolute best!!! We loved her sooo sooo much! Literally the best person to take you are the city and drink wine and eat some amazing food with. The places she took us were super authentic and off the beaten path which was great. The wine was phenomenal and the pasta was out of this world. She was such a sweet girl and I would highly recommend her!

This was a wonderful evening tour with Lucia. She explained the history and production behind all the different foods we tasted, going to places I would never have found on my own. We sampled brushetta, two kinds of pasta, charcuterie, delicious wines, sweets at a local bakery, and gelato. We even explored a small bio/organic grocery store. Several of the stops were in the neighborhood of Sant'Ambrogio, which is adjacent to the historic center but a "regular" neighborhood off of the beaten tourist track. Lucia was thoughtful and excellent company, and made me feel most welcome in Florence. This tour is an excellent value and a delightful way to spend an evening.

Our guide Lucia was very personable and knowlegable. We had scheduled the tour for our first night in Florence, which turned out to be a great idea. Not only did we walk through different areas of the city, but Lucia took us to an organic grocery store and a bakery, and we went ahead and bought the few food items we wanted for our three day stay. All the places we visited were very nice and had excellent food.

It was a very nice surprise, finally a guided tour that I will remember for very long time! I did appreciate the knowledge of our guide Mateo and his passion for the city of Florence and for the places he showed us. I have definitely gone way out of my comfort zone, I have tried food that I would have never ordered by myself and I am glad I did it! What to say I really enjoyed it and I will do it again in the next place I visit.

You guys do it well! Tried it in Firenze, loved it - tried it in Venezia, Loved it! Thank you! I am sorry I missed you guys in Roma and Napoli but I often travel to Italy and I will definitely try it. I loved it because it is very different from the previous one that I did just a couple of days before in Florence. The format is similar but the food is very different. I would have never expected that Firenze and Venezia have such a different history, culture and food! It is Italia but it is not quite the same! I had no clue before this two tours that food culture in Italia is so rooted in the region, area or tow, this opened up a world that I did not know about Italian cuisine. Well, now I know that Veneziani don`t eat Pasta with Meatballs but they call Ombreta a glass of red wine! Superb!

This was an excellent tour with multiple and varied opportunities to sample different aspects of the Milan food scene. It was ably led by the very competent and congenial Fabrizio who had a truly lovely manner with people and perfectly achieved the friendliness/professionalism balance. We felt is was good value for money and an ideal way to 'feel' Milan with its mix of history, geography and food culture all rolled into one. Would recommend early in your visit, in the evening, as a kind of orientation experience.

Had a great tour with Sylvia. It was just our small group so it was like having a private tour. It also gave us an opportunity to learn about Italian history and life. Have been on many food tours but this was by far the most intellectual one we have had because we were able to have great discussions. The food was amazing. Highlights for me were the Risotto and the vegetarian Gelato -and I am not a vegetarian. Also, great to get off the beaten path and see other neighborhoods

l like eating as well as cooking so I'm quite picky about food. I have to say that everything I tasted during this food tour was well worth it. Instead of spending the same money for a restaurant lunch/dinner you have the chance to walk the city with a local tour guide and hang out with other food lovers. Loved it and I think I would repeat the experience in the other cities.

I loved this tour! It was the highlight of my trip to Italy. It was more than tasting the food it was an education about the foods that most people in that region eat. My tour guide Georgia was wonderful! I highly recommend that you take this tour when in Naples

We had such a good time on the Walking Palates food tour! Our tour guide, Santa, was super friendly and knowledgeable. She took us through the tour and gave us information on the history of the city, it’s food, and current events, as well. We highly recommend this tour and can’t wait to visit again.

This is definitely a must do in Naples. Our guide, Domenico, was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the Historic District. The wine, street food, restaurant, and sidewalk dining was great and gave us a good overview of the historic district. I loved the grilled octopus and I would not have tried that on my own. Domenico was attentive to our group and noticed towards the end of the tour that we needed a taxi for the grandmoms. He called us a taxi and helped me give our address to the taxi driver. Thanks Domenico for a great food tour and for taking care of us!

My wife bought it for us, I wasn't too keen about joining, but in the end I really loved it. Good wine, great food, we went out the beaten track and stopped in a bunch of places, some sitting down, one was more street food. Our guide was Julia, very knowlegeable and fun.
