The flavours of the capital of Tuscany
Code:
The itinerant menu starts with a glass of wine and the typical crostino, a starter that is always present in every Tuscan meal. The tasting takes place in Santa Croce neighborhood, in a winery very popular among locals and perfect to get to know the variety of local wines. The itinerary goes on in Sant’Ambrogio district at the local market where you can have samples of local cheeses and Tuscan cold cuts, like the finocchiona – a typical Tuscan cured meat flavored with fennel seeds. During the walk you can not miss samples of freshly baked products from local bakeries, such as the cecina or pane sciocco. The main dish of the lunch is tasted in a family-run restaurant, where you can find only fresh and hand-made pasta. The tasting includes two different types of pasta paired with great wine. Let yourself be conquered by the genuine flavor of the Florentine specialities within a path designed to savor the most representative dishes of the city and sip the best local wines. The best way to end a walking menu is by stopping at one of the oldest gelato shops in Florence, which has been around for almost 90 years.

Off the beaten track to get authentic tastes of florence. Matteo the guide kept conversation flowing and was an excellent guide, balancing the food and history and showing us the real florence. We left absolutely stuffed - DONT EAT BEFORE!

Oh my god!!! Martina was the absolute best!!! We loved her sooo sooo much! Literally the best person to take you are the city and drink wine and eat some amazing food with. The places she took us were super authentic and off the beaten path which was great. The wine was phenomenal and the pasta was out of this world. She was such a sweet girl and I would highly recommend her!

My wife bought it for us, I wasn't too keen about joining, but in the end I really loved it. Good wine, great food, we went out the beaten track and stopped in a bunch of places, some sitting down, one was more street food. Our guide was Julia, very knowlegeable and fun.
